The Hot Springs Campground is located along the banks of the French Broad River, a short stroll from the Hot Springs Spa and Natural Mineral Baths. Laughing Heart Lodge Hostel Camping
Just off the Appalachian Trail as you enter the town of Hot Springs is the Laughing Heart Lodge Hostel. Camping accommodations are available on the grounds with the use of the shower and kitchen facilities in the hostel. The grounds of the Lodge will be unlike any other campgrounds as there is an expansive lawn creating a sense of serenity which is the “heart” of the philosophy of the Innkeepers of the Laughing Heart Lodge. And, the town of Hot Springs is just a short walk along the AT from the grounds.

You can camp right on Spring Creek while staying under one of our peka shelters, rustic cabins and tailgates sites on the mountain top or a handcrafted romantic one room chalet. Our camp store offers some of the basic necessities as well as firewood and ice. We have beautiful mountain views with Spring Creek down below as well as trails that you can hike through. We are only 3/4 of a mile from the Appalachian Trail and 1.5 miles from the heart of downtown. So get outside and play CRC is a world of its own!
