Spillcorn Creek is a hatchery supported trout stream that is a tributary of Big Laurel Creek. It begins at elevations near 3000 feet where Colvin Creek, Amos Creek, and Baker Creek come together in northern Madison County. Spillcorn Creek is approximately 10-12 feet wide at its beginning and spreads out to approximately 15-18 feet wide at its confluence with Big Laurel Creek. It has a fair population of native rainbow trout as well as stocked trout.

Tip: The entire 5 mile length of the stream parallels Spillcorn Road and is easily accessed from this road.

Directions: Spillcorn Road intersects Big Laurel Road approximately 1 mile west of the junction of Revere Road and Big Laurel Road and approximately ½ mile east of the intersection of Barnes Branch Road and Big Laurel Road.

From I-26, take exit 3. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and then left on Highway 23A. Take the first left which is Big Laurel Road. Take Big Laurel Road past Walnut Creek Road and watch for the right turn onto Spillcorn. The creek parallels the road.
