The isolated cove where Nancy Darrell lives has nourished and inspired her over the past thirty years Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains with a view of the Appalachian Trail, streams and wildlife, the scenery has formed the basis of Nancy’s subjects first in clay and now in woodcuts. She spent years making porcelain dinnerware with simple landscapes. However, that same pottery class which started her on the pottery path also evoked an emotional response which has now led to her current focus with black and white woodcut prints. Come visit Nancy at her studio but be sure to call first for directions and an appointment.
