Wander through the gardens and pick fresh produce or enjoy the farm animals: cashmere goats, Belted Galloway cows, a variety of chickens, and guineas. Enjoy a picnic along the creek or climb up the slopes for a better view of the beautiful area. There are trails to hike–one which takes you to a fire tower and another that will take you to a creek stocked with rainbow trout. This land has historically been farmland–at one time growing tobacco–but now, owners Judy and Tom Hansen have turned it into a vacation paradise for those seeking a mountain farm setting.

This three-generation family farm has three rental cabins so that you can truly immerse yourself and your family in the farm experience. The 85 acres back up to the Pisgah National Forest and are up the hill from the French Broad River across from the town of Hot Springs. The Dixon family has been growing organic vegetables, heirloom vegetables, herb plants and various berries on the property since 1992. During your stay, you are welcome to look around the farm and the gardens. You may catch a glimpse of one of the family members harvesting a crop or mowing the fields. One of the cabins was built of wood milled from logs taken from the property. And, an extra special treat is the mineral water drawn from a well deep below the valley which fills the hot tubs in each of the cabins.
