When not busy tending to the usual farm chores, Lorri Helms can be found at the Tailgate Market on Saturdays in Mars Hill or teaching spinning of fleece. Who would have thought that Madison County could be a place where you could start a vineyard? Well, Chuck and Jeannie Blethen did! The soil and the weather conditions are perfect for native cold-hardy muscadine grapes and so, you can now visit a vineyard here just north of Asheville.
